pet insurance

My female aussie shep mix is barely 6 months old and since she was three months old, she has suffered a broken leg, 2 rounds of parasite issues, and worms.

My out of pocket expenses so far have probably been around 2500.00 just for her vet bills and routine care including her spay surgery.

This is not including her food, and daycare that I pay each day due to the fact she cannot be left at home alone because she is destructive in my home and yard. Training is next, but her health issues need to be resolved before I do.

I am a first time dog owner so these costs have really been difficult to swallow, but I do love her.

I have no idea if these costs will level out once she is older and is past all the puppy issues.

Is pet insurance the way to go for me?
