Ferret pet insurance is available through Veterinary Pet Insurance (VPI) under their Avian and Exotic Pet Plan.

What's Covered

Hospitalization, X-rays, prescriptions, lab fees, minor treatments, illnesses, and accidents are covered under this plan.

For ferrets the diagnosis, medical management, or surgical correction of any endocrine tumors both benign or malignant or endocrine hyperplasia of any kind are excluded from policy coverage.

Reimbursement

VPI will pay up to 90% of the benefit schedule or up to 90% of the veterinary bill, whichever is lower.

Starting around $12 a month you can get a basic plan and the deductible is likely around $100 at this price level. Monthly premiums vary greatly because of discounts, age of animals, and pre-existing conditions
