What most people seem to agree on is if you can afford to save money in a pet emergency fund that would make more sense than buying pet insurance. However most people do not have the discipline to save every month. If this is you buying a pet policy might be right. Another circumstance in which buying a pet policy with the right would be if you would like to have peace of mind. And some people like the fact that they will be protected if something goes wrong with their pet. But remember that this piece of mine comes with a big price tag. If you are seriously considering getting pet insurance talk to your veterinarian and asked for their opinion. And they have likely formed a strong opinion on this subject and I think that their input would help you greatly. Also before you do buy a pet policy make sure you get at least three different quotes, and add up how much money you spend over the lifetime of your pet. If you do buy a policy make sure you read it and understand it thoroughly. For this will be the key to make sure you are getting your moneys worth.
