Below I will go over several pet policies are available and their prices. Remember that these prices might change depending on the age of your pet, where you live, how healthy are pet is, and what breed they are.

Two companies offer pet policies at this price level. They are ASPCA Safety plan, and the Pets Health Accident plan. Both of these policies cover accidents, hospitalization, x-rays, and surgery. These are good basic plans to start off with. They both come with a $100 deductible.

$13.50

At this price level the VPI Standard plan is available. It also covers accidents, illnesses, x-rays, surgery, cancer, medication, and hospitalization. It comes with a $50 deductible.

$16 to $20

At this price range there are six different plans available. The Premier Basic, the PetFrist Accident, PurinaCare, ASPCA Primary, Pets Health Basic, and AKC Accident Plus.

Each of these plans varies in what coverage they provide, and the deductible for these plans range from as low as $50 up to $125.

Greater than $20

Over $20 very large range of plans available covering almost anything your pet might experience. If you are looking for cheap pet health insurance these plans are not what you are looking for. The best deals are often found under $20 a month. Comprehensive pet care is often not a good deal when you look at how much you have to pay in return for what you get.

If you're still trying to decide if the insurance makes sense for you, at least get a basic accident coverage plan. Since accidents are the most expensive things that you'll experience with her pet.
