Should I Buy Pet Insurance?

Question: Should I buy pet insurance? I have heard from several people that is not worth the added expense and that it can be very frustrating trying to fill out claim forms and being reimbursed.

I have two dogs, does that mean I need to buy two different pet insurance policies for each of them, and if so how much does it cost?

Answer: Whether or not you buy pet insurance is completely up to you. No one can answer this question for you since it involves a personal financial decision.

Right now even veterinarians disagree on whether pet insurance is worth the price. However many pet owners are grateful that they have had pet insurance when their pet has had an accident.

If you’re still undecided on whether or not to get pet insurance I would recommend getting three quotes for policies, reviewing them, and then deciding if it is worth it.

The price for insuring two dogs varies a lot by a type of coverage you get and the company that and insures you. It could very from as low as $20 a month to over $100 a month.

Also ask for a multiple pet discounts because you are insuring two dogs. Also if your dogs have taking a training course or have identification on them you may also qualify for additional discounts so be sure to ask for them.
