Go somewhere else for your pet insurance
by: Anonymous

This insurance is fine for the first year. But pray that your animal does not have an illness that lasts one day over one year. At that point, all insurance for that particular illness stops- forever! This is outrageous and inhumane. Just imagine if a human's insurance would discontinue after one year for a particular illness, like diabetes or cancer. Because of this policy many animals will have to be put down. When asked about this, the company said a more expensive insurance package does not do this- that the policy I had was "a starter policy." When I then asked to upgrade to the more expensive policy, they said I could not do it for this animal because she had a pre-existing condition! Talk about a catch-22 condition! Go somewhere else for pet insurance- almost all other companies are less expensive also.

This company takes forever to file claims. It took them four months after registration to send us our cards. We we set up our plan the man on the phone gave us incorrect information about what was covered. When calling this company we usually spend about 30 minutes on hold only to be connected with an operator who does not know what the hell she/he is doing. It hardly covers anything. We had a piece of paper telling us that accidental ingestion was covered, but when my cat swallowed plastic and he had to have it removed by tongs and get x-rays, $600 later, they cover nothing. Accidental ingestion only covers if he needed surgery. We were told our insurance covered infectious diseases. Apparently viruses do not count. 24 Pet Watch, you suck.

I use to pet have good experiences with this company but for two weeks I've called just to UPGRADE my policy and have been put on hold for up to 15 min and then 10 min. What has happened to this company?

24 Pet Watch is dishonest company
by: Anonymous

I have had my cat insured through Pet Care/24 Pet Watch since the week we brought her home. We've never had a claim. She developed urinary infection at 6 years of age,and was tested, and treated over 6 months. She had multiple urine cultures that were positive, and all her treatments were antibiotics. Finally she died of kidney failure. 24 PetWatch would not pay for ant tests or treatments. They said that hers was not a covered condition. Policy clearly stated that they would cover urinary tract disease, and infectious disease. This company is a scam. Do not buy policy from them. I wish US attorney general's office will look into their practices and shut them down!

24petwatch insurance not reliable

Don't bother wasting your money with this company. We've had noting but problems with this company. They will not pay claims. Every time we've made a claim, they either say they can't pay until they receive the dog's full medical history or that they never received the claim. We've faxed multimple copies of medical histories, including the successful fax transmission reports of previous attempts and they still refuse to acknowledge they received any information. After cancelling the coverage on our animals, they still billed us! I called their cancelation depatment, again, and they said last time the call went to a regular customer service rep and not a cancellation rep. This company is very shady and is not to be trusted.

NOBODY was there!!
by: Anonymous

At 5Am, I was feeding my cats; 2 indoor, 2 outdoor (choice). An incredibly beautiful, shiny, large, terrified house cat came crying in agony, to me. So exited to see that yellow tag, with all of the identifying numbers. BUT NOBODY COULD BE REACHED.Called several times. RECORDING said 'Hughes net' (correct number). If they had just gone to Animal Welfare, or their local vet for COUNTY TAGS and a chip; I could have found his home by 7AM. Instead, I had to leave him; because you can't just 'corral' someone's pet! How heartbreaking and horrible! I live on a very dangerous road, for animals. It's dark, busy, winding and LITTERED with dead animals. Anybody who wants to help, knows to scan for a chip (MAKE SURE THEY REGISTER IT!)-But this tag was MORE HARM THAN GOOD! False security is very damaging. I rescue animals, and I could have helped him, if they hadn't spent a bunch of USELESS money with these people who say they're there '24/7'. OH, NO THEY'RE NOT!! This seems like one of those vets, who care about MONEY; not animals! COUNTY TAGS AND CHIPS WORK!!! This DIDN'T.
